From 1 February 2023 to 31 January 2024 Dr. Olha Mykhailenko, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department took part a research internship at the UCL School of Pharmacy, London, United Kingdom, within the CARA (the Council for At-Risk Academics) Fellowship Programme.

During the internship Dr. Olha Mykhailenko increased the level of theoretical and practical training, conducted scientific research using modern equipment and technologies, mastered the latest unique methods, gained experience in conducting scientific research activities, ensured information exchange and expand scientific contacts.

The planned scientific internship was under the leadership of Prof. Michael Heinrich, Research group “Ethnopharmacology & pharmacognosy”, Pharmaceutical and Biological Chemistry department, also consultative work was carried out with the support of Prof. Gareth Williams, Head of Pharmaceutics Department. As part of the scientific internship, it carried out scientific experiments, published scientific articles, and presented reports at international conferences. The general purpose of the visit was to improve professional qualifications.
