  • The scientific direction of prof. Ihor UKRAINETS: synthesis, reactivity and biological activity in a number of derivatives of malonic acid, 2-oxo-4-hydroxyquinoline and 2,2-dioxo-1H-2λ6,1-benzthiazine (3 doctoral and 21 candidate dissertations were defended).
  • The scientific direction of prof. Victoriya GEORGIYANTS: molecular modeling and targeted search for anticonvulsants; substantiation of standardization parameters, development and validation of methods of quality control of medicines of industrial and pharmaceutical production (7 doctoral and 18 candidate dissertations were defended).
  • The scientific direction of assoc. prof. Nataliia BEVZ: substantiation of pharmacopoeial standardization of combined tablet dosage forms and original substances, development and validation of methods of quality control of drugs of synthetic and natural origin in multicomponent medicinal products.
  • Scientific direction of prof. Lyudmila SIDORENKO: search for biologically active substances in a number of 4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline derivatives and amidated derivatives of 4-hydroxy-2,2-dioxo-1H-2λ6,1-benzothiazine-3-carboxylic acid, development methods for determining potential chemical contaminants in the process of synthesis and production of APIs, modern approaches to the development and implementation of quality standards for medical products, molecular design and microbiological screening of innovative derivatives of fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
  • Scientific direction of prof. Hanna SEVERINA: rational molecular design of biologically active substances among azaheterocycles based on a combination of traditional organic synthesis and innovative technologies of virtual screening, molecular docking and QSAR analysis; structural analysis; development and validation of quality control methods for promising APIs; analysis of food products.

Employees of the department participated in the development of 21 drugs of different pharmacological action.
