22 лютого 2023 р. доцент кафедри фармацевтичної хімії Михайленко Ольга у складі організаційного комітету взяла участь у роботі міжнародного симпозіуму «Spices and Medicine Symposium: Opportunities in a Complex World» у Maplethorpe Lecture Theatre, UCL School of Pharmacy (Лондон, Об’єднане Королівство). Симпозіум було організовано науковою групою «Pharmacognosy and Phytotherapy», яку очолює Prof. Michael Heinrich, Pharma & Bio Chemistry, UCL School of Pharmacy (Лондон, Об’єднане Королівство).
На симпозіумі було представлено доповіді:

- Sukvinder Bhamra, Medway School of Pharmacy – Herbal medicines – my mum’s traditional remedies are trending
- Janet Schloss, Southern Cross Centre, Australia – Cannabis and Cannabinoids from an Ethnopharmacological Perspective
- Fabien Schulz – TU Berlin and University Neubrandenburg, Germany – Self-medication in wild mountain gorillas and chimpanzees: The science of zoopharmacognosy in early stage drug discovery.
Особливою подією симпозіуму була Frank Fish Memorial Lecture, яку прочитала Prof. Judith Rollinger, University of Vienna – “How to Harness Complexity: The Unique Opportunities of Pharmacognosy”.
